The legal stuff
Many of the i3dlo-based simulations that emerge from the Naledi3d Factory’s i3dlo initiative are funded through international donor or state funds. It is therefore important that these works are placed in the public domain in terms of “the general good”.
The Creative Commons licence system, supported by GNU and others provides a user friendly way to publish these works online, allowing them to be used and shared, but also letting others know exactly what they can and can't do with these works. So - here’s the legal stuff in the words of Creativecommons.org.
